The new rose garden seating and conversation area is complete
May 5, 2008
Last year Cedar Creek's leadership team set out to create new destinations by redesigning landscape areas to enhance their beauty and to make them a desirable place to visit. Residents and families have greatly benefited from these new destinations. We are now proud to say that we have a new destination to add to the list.
The rose garden conversation area has just been completed. A new brick paver patio and walkway have been added to allow residents and guests to sit among the roses. A beautiful shaded pergola was built over the patio and wonderful new furniture was placed on the patio to make it as comfortable as it is beautiful.
The new seating area was built completely by the staff of Cedar Creek as a gift and thank you to the residents and families that make Cedar Creek what it is. It has been very gratifying to see the patio used nonstop by residents and families since the day it was first opened. The excitement over the new garden hideaway has also lead to the creation of a new rose club. Residents have adopted specific roses in the garden and are caring for them to keep the beauty going throughout the summer.
Just when you thought Cedar Creek couldn't get any more beautiful

We're on the move again. Last year we began taking areas with nice landscaping and re-creating these areas to make them something very special. The hope was to create destinations for residents, families and guests that would truly enhance the enjoyment of Cedar Creeks plentiful open spaces. The first area that was completed was a large garden area outside of the Redwood dining room. The area features the calming sound of running water blended with the deep soft tones of a large "Gentle Spirits" windchime. The centerpiece is a wooden bridge over a rock-scape display that suggests a flowing stream. The changes took an area that residents would walk by and changed it into an area where residents stop, sit and enjoy. New shaded resting and conversation areas were completed in the back yard of the Springs memory care area as well. The new areas feature fabric and wrought iron gazebos adorned with beautiful planters stocked with flowering plants and wonderful smelling herbs. An adjacent garden area was re-landscaped to include another beautiful windchime and wonderful flowering plants.
And here we go again! You may not know that Cedar Creek has a beautiful rose garden with many exceptional varieties of roses. Well, this garden is going to get even better. Cedar Creek's staff are in the process of installing a beautiful pergola covered stone paver patio in the middle of the rose garden. Can you imagine sitting under the pergola surrounded by blooming roses sipping your morning coffee? That will become a reality for Cedar Creek's residents in just a few short weeks as work is already underway on this great new addition. Stop by sometime, take a tour and see what everyone has been talking about!
